HTC has announced its plans to roll out Android 6.o “Marshmallow” to some of its mobile devices. Two devices, the One M8 and One M9, will get the update beginning this year, but most other devices on the list appear to be getting support next year.

The handset maker also notes that some carriers and regions will still not have completed their One M8/M9 rollout by the end of the year, but until the release starts it will be difficult to tell which ones will take that long.

While the rough time frame for this release has been announced, HTC hasn’t provided an exact date for when it will begin.
